Male Caregiving Conference: Creating a Research, Programmatic, and Policy Agenda for an Emerging Public Health Issue

There is a dearth of research about male caregivers, including the ways in which they are similar to and different from their female peers. Studies of male caregivers from families and communities of color are almost nonexistent. To address the present knowledge gap, The HSC Foundation, in partnership with the University of Maryland, College Park, convened a conference in the fall of 2007 on this important but often overlooked issue.
